3 Bar Map Sensor Max Boost In a 3 bar sensor you would have room for 28 psi of boost and so on Looking at this boost graph as an example you see that the engine makes almost 35 psi of boost To figure out what size MAP sensor it would need take that 35psi add 14 7 for engine vacuum and then divide the result by 14 5
1 so if the stock MAP sensor is 2 5 bar and one bar is equal to 14 5 psi then that makes it sensitive to 14 5 2 5 which is 36 25 psi if atmospheric pressure is 14 7 psi and i m running a max boost of 20 psi above that then the total psi of 34 7 is within range of the stock sensor 1 Jun 29 2022 I went through stock specs for MAP sensors for F 150 3 5L and 2 7L Ecoboost engines from 2011 2020 which encompasses Gen I and Gen II engines and this is what I found The sources for this info are stock calibrations from seven different F 150s with Gen I and Gen II engines

Kerma features Three Bar 3 BAR map sensor So ideally you would have AT LEAST that much of a gap between the boost setpoint and the max the sensor can read After we subtract our control margin we have roughly 18 5 psi to work with using the factory 2 5 bar sensor Upgrade your existing 2 5 BAR MAP to this 3 BAR MAP for better MAP Sensor Data 3 Bar Offset 155 5V Max Mbar 3180 Scalar 667 KOEO 1 75V This Sensor is an absolute must for forced induction setups utilizing higher boost levels than the OEM MAP sensor is rated for and offers a 3 Bar absolute pressure reading capacity The sensor has awesome reliability and fitment you would expect with no crazy

What happens if you run over 30 PSI boost with a 3 bar map using XFI I m assuming the settings at 30 PSI are used so basically if you run 32 PSI the VE table settings from 30 PSI will be used so you can t tweak anything over 30 PSI it that correct also just curious what static fuel pressure is good to use the FAST XFI guide says 45 Right now I have a 2 bar map sensor but running near 1 bar of boost causes the map sensor to max out if there is any boost fluctuation Any help would be greatly appreciated Last edited by SlvrSky07 01 22 2013 at 02 32 AM 01 22 2013 2 Iam Broke View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Senior Tuner Join Date Jul 2009 Posts 2 305 I d
